Signing Off on Progress Notes
After a session, therapists can review and finalize their progress notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This guide walks you through the steps for signing off on notes generated by Mynd Notetaker or entered manually during the session.
1. Reviewing Session Notes
• Note Sources:
• If you used Mynd Notetaker, you’ll see the automatically generated notes here.
• If you took in-session notes manually, they will appear below the Mynd Notetaker notes (or alone if Mynd Notetaker wasn’t used).
• Purpose: It’s important to review these notes to ensure they accurately reflect the session. You may edit them to add or remove details to maintain relevance.
2. Saving Changes
• Edit and Save: After making any necessary edits, click Save Changes. This saves the current version of your notes.
• Version Control: All edits are saved with version history, so you can review any previous versions of the notes if needed.
3. Signing Off and Locking the Notes
• Save and Sign Off: When satisfied with your review, click Save and Sign Off. This locks the notes, making them uneditable to ensure data security and compliance.
• Unlocking Notes: If you need to make additional edits after signing off, you’ll need to unlock the notes.
• Reason Required: Provide a reason for unlocking to maintain compliance with security standards.
4. Compliance and Security
• Locked Notes: Once signed off, notes are securely stored and cannot be altered without going through the unlock process.
• Regulatory Compliance: This process aligns with regulatory requirements, ensuring secure handling and storage of session notes.
